Re: “VCU Cuts Strut, Dissolves Student Fashion Show”
As someone that failed numerous times as a club officer to get things going, I think that Student Orgs makes it incredibly difficult to get the ball rolling, and incredibly easy to screw everything up that you worked for in a heartbeat. While I wish I could go back and try harder for my club, the fact of the matter is that the culture of Orgs is to act as the boss of the student's, rather than as their client. One would assume that the purpose of the department is to make it as reasonable as possible to empower students' education, rather than force club officers to take time away from studies and dedicate themselves solely to the bureaucratic red tape that is Student Orgs. But I can only speak from my experience, many other club officers did and did not have the same experience as me.
