Re: “Cut and Run”
What a terrible excuse for "journalism." This is an opinion piece that is written from one-sided opinions. For example, in the section "your kids’ school will be crowded," Style takes the opinion that the big, bad Republicans are making cuts that are causing our schools to be overcrowded. If you did any kind of investigative journalism, you'd report on the fact that it is the administrative costs that are causing problems in our school systems, NOT the classrooms. For example, as of 2011, former school Superintendent Stewart D. Roberson was making a salary of over $200,000. Our Vice President, comparatively makes roughly $230,000 a year. Why doesn't anyone over at Style ask Ms. Brandon why she doesn't propose to cut her exorbitant salary? Reporting on "opinions" does no one a favor and I for one am glad I no longer support Style with my advertising dollars.
