Re: “Scene Changer

ENVY IS FRUSTRATING!

Tess Autrey Bosher according to the article, "In Pursuit of Happiness" published in Psychology Today "gave up a six-figure salary to follow her passion: cooking. While she enjoyed law school, she was unhappy during her three-year stint as an lawyer. (an associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, stated in New York Times) She quit the firm to attend the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, where most students are career changers. She hopes to work in a French restaurant where she's likely to earn just above minimum wage."

It's not surprising that a Francophile would have difficulties embracing the varied flavors of Italy, which Portico offers so simply. From the subtle Broiled Seafood with fresh delicate flavors reminiscent of flavors found in Capri to the rustic Pasta Bolognese lightly garnished with a reduction of the beloved Aged Balsamic Vinegar from the artesian region of Emilia Romagna, Portico serves every region with a delicious option! Certainly not the expected butter and cream laden offerings typical to many French dishes Ms. Bosher favors according to the article in Psychology Today.

Additionally, a Francophile and especially a New Yorker would find it hard to experience the same excitement and proud feelings Goochlanders experience to walk in to Portico to see their charming and handsome Cy Young and the American League's Most Valuable Player, Justin Verlander sitting at the bar chatting with his neighbors.

While Goochland has been recognized as one of the wealthiest per capita counties in the US and home to many who are well- heeled Portico's menu prices are on the low to mid-range scale, which appeals to a wide economic base of patrons.

Ms. Bosher nailed it when she stated, "Randazzo has a lot
going for him". He does, Goochland Co., Goochlanders, and all the patrons from Richmond and else where who have graciously supported his restaurant work for the past 25 years!

Yes, it is confirmed, all of the above in an enchanting environment would create ENVY and frustration for the Francophile dreamer in pursuit of happiness! Ms. Bosher Richmond boasts many good French restaurants where you could gain 25 years of restaurant experience to help you understand Portico's successful concept.

Portico is a beautiful neighborhood spot with local charm that always has a seat for a neighbor who has fallen in love with the "perfect Italian gem".

Here's to the next 25 years........Buon Apetito!!
