Re: “39. James E. Ukrop”
I hope Harris Teeter comes to Richmond! I'm a former resident who now lives in Washington, DC, and when I shop at a Harris Teeter even within the District city limits, which is well known for its typical big-city rush and lack of hospitality and courtesy, I am pleasantly reminded of my many visits to Ukrops when I lived in the Fan. It's even better -- because not only is Harris Teeter a superior shopping experience with competitive prices to boot, Harris Teeter isn't crippled with an Evangelical philosophy which freezes its business practices in the nineteenth century!
My vote is for Harris Teeter to come to Richmond and give Martins some solid competition, and bring good old Southern Hospitality back to the grocery store.
