Joking, that was a phrase used in the book. Agreed, there is a lot of hatred of successful teams. Perhaps I didn't fully explain or detail the new information provided in the book. But if you're interested in the rivalry, I would definitely suggest checking it out, to see if you think the claims hold water. Regardless of team loyalty, he's a funny writer--from Richmond! Thanks for reading.
If he's cashing in, it's because people hate Duke basketball--for good reasons. Lol. Here's one final thought for you: Your team's mascot is a Frenchman. Add that to your discourse.

The call was to find out any information on a possible memorial service, which was released to the press the following day, with tour information attached (even though the ceremony is private).
Re: ““Duke Sucks” Book: Rehashing for Haters”
In response to this letter: This article was not a review of the book, it was an interview feature with the author about why he wrote it. Regarding the letter-writer's other chief complaint about the true away games. The book does contain original research in its attempt to discover whether claims by "haters" are justified. In my final draft, I had included the term "non-conference" to describe these games. That was omitted in the version that ran. The fact is, from 2001 to 2011, they played three away games out of conference that were not in neutral arenas (page 65 of the book)--a low number by other team's standards. Duke schedules roughly 10 games out of conference a year, disregarding contractual obligations like the ACC Challenge. I would suggest to the author, if he is interested in the details of the reporting in the book, to read the book to determine further whether it was well-reported. Again, this was not a review and "shocking and hilarious" was my personal reaction, as an average college basketball fan without a stake in the Heel/BlueDevil rivalry.
