The one time I visited, it was a disaster wrapped in an enigma wrapped in a vest - stuffed into a list of restaurant mistakes of turducken proportions. However - if they can pull it together, it'd be great! The location is fantastic.
I heard that The Belvidere has closed or is closing. Can you confirm (and does anyone know why)? I'm going to miss it. I loved their burgers and their hummus platter was the best I've ever had. Plus, they made some great drinks.

Did they not have insurance to cover the rebuilding costs? Also, will the fundraising efforts extend to the displaced residents, and employees who may go without wages, now?
