Re: “Pastor G Surrenders to U.S. Marshals

A bad man who fooled many city leaders and obtained public money for his activities. A wolf in sheep's clothing. His father Phil Aguilar of Anaheim organization Set Free Ministry demonstrates that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. A simple internet search years ago would have uncovered these troubling issues. Why didn't anybody dig just a tiny bit below the surface before showering him with praise and money?! Style has done at least two cover stories on this guy. You even repeated his outrageous story of reuniting with his father and finding faith. It was all a lie. How about a retraction, Style?

Re: “Under the ROC

If you're paying attention, an arrest warrant was just issued for this "pastor" and one of his assistant "pastors" was charged with threatening one of the accusers. Lovely, christian group.

Re: “Cuccinelli’s Star: Lawyers to Take Case Pro Bono

What?? They're taking the case, that our AG was supposed to handle, pro bono while the other law firm handling the McDonnell kitchen theft is charging taxpayers $250 an hour?? I think McDonnell should pay his own legal bills!!

Re: “Redskins Camp Goes Over Budget, Council Members Angry

Minutes from Economic Development Authority - back in March - interesting. The taxpayers are on the hook for the additional cost for the park but seems like our use of it will be limited.
"The Board discussed the “park area” being identified as a “public park.” Mr. Smith requested that “Public Park” on the plans submitted to the Planning Commission be clarified that it is not a public park. As these plans were submitted weeks ago and not able to be changed at this point, Mr. Johnson will request Mr. Drew Gould, with Timmons, to address this issue during his presentation to the Planning Commission. Mr. Johnson assured the Board that it was made clear in the public meetings conducted by the City and the EDA, that this “park area” is not owned and operated by the City Parks and Recreation and is not a public park but a “park area” that is intended to be used by both the public and for private events. Re: “Denver Dreaming

What a great idea - Manchester!! An area that needs the development and has lots of space. And a multi-use venue is a must!! Connect the dots - Squirrels, Kickers, Sports Backers, and Coliseum. But that makes to much sense for our stupid city leaders - the mayor and council.
(BTW - Does anyone else remember when they went to Nashville, they came back saying that Richmond should become a music city? Seriously. Look it up!)

Re: “Redskins Camp Goes Over Budget, Council Members Angry

The more I think about this deal the angrier I get. The roads in the city are like third world country roads - the city might as well spread gravel on Patterson Avenue. I just had to replace three of the four struts on my three-year-old car from driving over cr@ppy roads!!! And someone who doesn't even live in the city is waving off any concerns about another $800,000 spend on this boondoggle!

FIX THE FLIPPING ROADS, MAYOR!! FIX THEM. FIX OUR SUBSTANDARD SCHOOL BUILDINGS. AND FIX THE MYRIAD OF OTHER REALLY PRESSING MATTERS. FIX THESE THINGS FIRST. These are the primary reasons for government. Not training camps for for-profit sports teams owned by billionaires!!!

There is absolutely no proof at all that this Redskins training camp is going to do anything for the city. Except give you and your buddies a place to hob nob with the other 1% and 1% wannabees. And if I see your stupid smiling face turning over another shovel full of dirt, I am going to scream!
TAKE care of OUR CITY and her CITIZENS!!! STOP Wasting our money. AND Council members, you had better stop just getting "angry" and start doing something!!
The rest of us need to actively start looking for smart, capable, honest citizens to TAKE back our city. I am sick of the clowns that are running things now.
PS: and I'm a Redskins season ticket holder - Club Level. And I know spending taxpayer money on this is wrong.

Re: “Under the ROC

I met this guy once and he gave me the creeps. I couldn't believe that he had followers. And then his crazy story about connecting with his dad - a story reported in Style which he now admits was a fabrication.
His father is an interesting character. The Set Free ministry out on California. Look it up. Scary stuff.
