Sarah has served as the Executive Director of the Menokin Foundation since 2005. She brings 20 years of experience in the preservation field at the national, state and local levels to her position, working for the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the National Park Service and the Virginia Main Street program where she provided economic development assistance to 20 communities across the Commonwealth.
Sarah holds a BA in Fine Arts from the College of William and Mary, a masters in historic preservation from the University of Georgia, and a certificate in nonprofit management from George Mason. She has a special interest in community planning, heritage education, and the revitalization of historic buildings as an economic and workforce development tool. Reared just across the Rappahannock River from Menokin, Sarah is happy to come back to her roots, pursue what she loves, and make it her job.
