Former Virginia Governor and Chair of the Democratic National Committee

This fall will bring us the Kaine and Cantor (No. 4) show, as both traipse around the country flacking for their teams. When former Gov. Tim Kaine reluctantly took over as chair of the Democratic National Committee, Democratic fervor was at its peak. Now Kaine's captain of a sinking ship. His tenure in the Executive Mansion was painful to watch while he racked up political successes but struggled to secure policy wins. If Democrats do better than expected in the fall, Kaine could regain some clout.
