Richmond City Council Vice President
The City Council vice president is a close ally of Mayor Dwight Jones (No. 1), and is likely to become council president after the next election. Not always the most graceful orator, Robertson can get fired up when she wants to. Her blessing is key to keeping community support intact for the new city jail in the East End. Robertson could get engaged a little more, though, especially in Shockoe Bottom, which lies in her district. We haven’t heard a peep from her about the problems playing out in the valley where Richmond began.
