Cartoonist Seth Moreau cops first place in the 2010 Style Weekly Comic Strip contest. His three-panel observance on Richmond life wins him $100 in art supplies and the envy of cartoonists across Central Virginia.

Moreau, 31, says he's “always been doing comic strips.” The James Madison University graduate, who earned a bachelor's degree in psychology (and had several 'toons published in the JMU student paper, The Breeze), says his goal is to draw for a living, maybe get a daily strip. One of his main inspirations is Matt Groening's “The Simpsons.”

When he's not exercising a pen at his drawing desk at home, Moreau serves as general manager of the Galaxy Diner in Carytown. You can see more of his work at sethdrawsgood.com — “although it's been awhile since I updated it,” he says. Perhaps now's the time, Seth. Congratulations.
