With Richmond's corporate dissolutions, Fortune 500 packaging company MeadWestvaco looms over the James River in rarified corporate air. Its chairman and chief executive, John Luke, has integrated himself locally by the book, joining such boards as Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, First Tee, Richmond Ballet, the American Civil War Center and the VCU School of Engineering Foundation. He also took a lead role in Tom Farrell's (No.1) recent push to study the future of the Richmond Coliseum.
