Time for Real Cleanup

Please, somebody tell me I misread "Deputy-Inmate Friendship Sparks Changes at Jail" (Street Talk, Aug. 16). Please tell me my tax dollars were not wasted on cleaning [former sheriff] Michelle Mitchell's name off of squad cars at $50 a pop, while city inmates lounge around in jail, getting three hots and a cot for doing nothing. I thought there was a new sheriff in town.
