+6 More than 25,000 people attend Fan Appreciation Day at the Redskins training camp, an event full of muddy shoes, loud cheering, long lines and lots of enthusiasm. It's like Lollapalooza but without all the mind-altering drugs.

+3 Richmond ranks No. 7 on the Daily Beast's list of "aspirational cities" — urban areas with jobs and culture "attracting today's ambitious citizens." Now let's all relax, throw back some PBR and get tattoos to commemorate our cultural achievements.

+4 Local improv group the RVA Comedy Coalition holds a weekend of shows celebrating the opening of its new downtown theater on Broad. A little advice to you young comedy hopefuls. When in doubt: fart jokes.

-5 After striking Schwarzschild Jewelers in Carytown in broad daylight, armed robbers flee on foot. If you spot them, call Crime Stoppers and do not approach: Suspects may be armed and fabulously accessorized.

+1 The short-speech-making and idea-sharing conference TEDxRVA, which threw its first event in March, announces that it will return next spring. You need a year of down time to figure out what exactly they were talking about before.
