The Score

+3Around 300 people show up at Plant Zero to offer ideas and urban planning suggestions to the team at work updating Richmond's master plan. The brightest idea so far: Just let VCU do whatever they damn well please. We surrender, oh great and powerful Trani! (And at least he gets things done.)

+2New residents start moving into condos at Vistas on the James, the 160-unit high-rise overlooking the river at the Turning Basin. Noise complaints are already rolling in about Mayor Wilder's late-night throw-downs.

-4We brace for the coming media onslaught after a federal grand jury in Richmond indicts NFL quarterback Michael Vick on charges relating to his alleged involvement in a dogfighting ring. Manoli Loupassi gets another break, as the media attention takes the spotlight off his Hungry Hungry Hippos scandal.

-1The Richmond Braves' Sunday game against the Toledo Mud Hens is cut short when 5,000 spectators must be evacuated because of a bomb threat. The crowds overwhelm Bill's Barbecue, where employees must lock up the chocolate pies and initiate their own evacuation.

+1Gov. Kaine and other state officials announce the completion of the $676 million Springfield Interchange project, which has cut tens of seconds of commutes on I-95 and the Capital Beltway in Northern Virginia. Next on their agenda: $1.5 billion to reduce the lag time between walking into and out of the DMV.
