Defunct hockey team the Richmond Renegades will be replaced by a team from the United Hockey League in October. Richmond hockey is saved, but the 'Gade alligator is still collecting unemployment.

Memorial Day weekend signals the unofficial beginning of summer in Richmond. You may now start using the recently announced catchphrase for 2003: "Hot enough for ya'?"
