Art 180 celebrates Jonny Z with a block party.

Even after his sudden death in 2007, Jonny Zanin, aka Jonny Z, remains an unshakeable fixture in the Richmond arts scene. A local musician, Zanin helped organize the Bizarre Art Market and volunteered with Richmond Food Not Bombs. Celebrating Zanin’s enthusiasm and community contributions, Art 180 holds its second annual Jonny Z Festival, a block party featuring live music, the Bizarre Market and the unveiling of a mobile mural — on the side of a construction dumpster — by artists from St. Andrew’s School. In front of Joe’s Inn on Shields Avenue (between Grove and Hanover) from noon-5 p.m., the day’s event is free. For information call 233-4180 or visit www.art180.org.— Mike Hilleary
