Struck by recession and political upheaval, a county dominates while City Hall struggles to find its footing. The search begins for a sustainable alternative to Trani, Wilder and the old power network. by Scott Bass, Amy Biegelsen, Chris Dovi and Jason Roop
To the Reader: Because of a printing error, the print version of our Power List was missing a page that included Nos. 20-25. To make up for the inconvenience, we're printing the entire list as a special pull-out section in Style Aug. 5.

I know that the RTD is THE daily newspaper in Richmond and the surrounding areas. I was pointing out that almost every aspect of Style's writing with regards to the RTD is negative in nature. I suggest you go back and search the Style archives to see for yourself.
But the real question is why do you have so much disdain for the RTD?

psst ..... Mr. Mills .... The RT-D is THE daily newspaper in this town and as such is fair game for any news story. And, you're right, the management of Tom Silvestri and Glen Proctor doesn't deserve side remarks. It does deserve outright derision and disgust. Style lets them off easy.

I am a frequent reader of Style Weekly and was dismayed upon reading your article on "The 2009 Power List" for two reasons.
#1 The blatant snide remarks on members of Media General/Richmond Times-Dispatch who are your major competition. It is very evident to any reader that the most articles that Style writes about media issues or media companies usually brings up the Times-Dispatch or Media General. Style generally writes in negative terms when talking about either and due to the frequent ramblings on them must have an inferiority complex since they are the small fish in a big pond.
#2 Why was #20-#25 missing from my copy and several others I looked at. I had to take extra time to come online just to find that out since it was in print.
